Young or old, Magic can breathe excitement and laughter in to your life

As a magician I find that like anything in life it’s a Marmite thing. Like politics, religion and football, people either love it or hate it. There are those that wonder at the mystery and those that try to work out how it is done.

There are many aspects to magic and once again everyone is different to their preference of the type of magic that intrigues. Over the years I have seen some great magicians who even now amaze me with their skill, charisma and experience.

One thing I try not to do is to figure it out (unless of course I want to learn the trick for myself) and even then I have to learn to make it my own.

The real magic is in the engagement with the Magician, the way your relationship builds, the way its presented, the story telling, in fact the whole kit and caboodle.

So back to my original question, What is Magic?

Magic is entertainment, it’s a break from normality, its a step in to a light room and it’s an ice breaker, a memory maker, it’s a thought provoker, and it’s a skill that is nurtured over a life time. A good magician can bring family and friends together. As a magician gains experience they will find their niche and perform some amazing and fun to watch demonstrations of their honed skills with the passion and enthusiasm that will bring a shine to the darkest room.

If you have never experienced magic live, then why not take a look at any local events and get yourself along to see them work.
